Through free literary and writing workshops, Indigenous author talks, programming and pop-ups they are creating a more inclusive and interconnected Indigneous literary community.

Happy Women's History Month! Here at Children of the Setting Sun we are so grateful to work with so many powerful matriarchs. Alyssa Macy, a member of the Warm Springs tribe, serves as the CEO of Washington Conservation Action. Chairwoman Frances Charles has dedicated over two decades to serving the Elwha community. Amy Cordalis, along with her organization Ridges to Riffles, played a crucial role in a groundbreaking dam removal project on the Klamath River. These are just a few examples of the exceptional women we have the privilege to work with. Let us use this month as an opportunity to celebrate and honor the strength, resilience, and wisdom of ALL women.

We invite you to join us for a powerful evening of connection and learning, including a salmon dinner, a film screening, community building, and hopefully healing. We will be screening a documentary film called Native Transformations which showcases the incredible resilience and strength of tribal members’ - follow along the journey of healing and wellness to overcome the tremendous impacts of the opioid crisis on our community.
