Ep.010 | Meeting Jay Julius, New Elected Chairman of the Lummi Nation

What does it take to prepare yourself to become a leader? Perhaps drinking from a firehouse is
one way to ease yourself into the position. This and more awaits us as Darrell sits down with
the newly elected chairman Jeremiah Julius to talk about the rude awakening he has gone
through, the steps his life has given him to ready himself for leadership, and all the unmet
needs he wishes to be met in his years as chairman. As Julius lays down his hopes and dreams
for a revival and strengthening in culture, land rights, sovereignty, economic opportunity,
health and the preservation of life and Salmon, so too does his cry for unity and strength with
each other and those around us ring true.
