CSSP at Impact + Profit Conference!
CSSP Directors and Producers Jordan Riber and Noelani Auguston are in Los Angeles, CA for the Impact + Profit Conference, aimed at educating, connecting, and empowering professionals across entertainment, non-profit, and business sectors. The conference's primary goal is to leverage storytelling for substantial social good and measurable impact.
Noelani will be participating as a speaker in two key panels during this conference. "Finding the Sweet Spot" delves into the delicate balance between impact-focused creative content and commercial success, examining both successful strategies and pitfalls. The second panel, "Young Voices in Story Choices" focuses on the authentic experiences and perspectives of youth, highlighting their influence on contemporary content creation and its significant impact on communities.
What's Next with The Sound?
Exciting things are happening with CSSP’s first dramatic narrative, The Sound. This coming-of-age TV drama follows a group of Indigenous Coast Salish teens as they travel through their ancestral waterways in a traditional canoe. Their journey starts as an escape from hurt and trauma, but soon becomes a purposeful route to transformation and self-discovery.
While Noelani and Jordan are in Los Angeles this week, they will also be pitching the series to various industry representatives! Another exciting announcement - the pilot episode will be featured and shown in Treaty Day Film Festival 2024!
